Among the industries that will be affected are the cruise lines sailing in the Gulf of Mexico.  Admittedly they can avoid the spill at present unless docking in New Orleans or Galveston, and possibly soon Mobile, but eventually it may affect them as well.

Some cruise lines are already making preparations for their on board experience to include the medical department should passengers be affected cruising through or near the spill.

Spill does not seem to be the right word here when you are talking millions of gallons or barrels.

What do you think the cruise lines could/should do extra?

In Haiti, Royal Caribbean not only continued to sail there and support the local economy and their 900 employees in Haiti, but raised funds on board and delivered millions of pounds of relief supplies during their port calls at Labadee.

Please post your thoughts and ideas, and we will make sure we get them into the cruise lines for consideration.
