GOLF AT RIDDELL'S BAY GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB

This wonderful, private golf course is located about 15 minutes from Hamilton and about 40 minutes from St. Georges.

Riddell's Bay Golf & Country Club, opened in 1922, is Bermuda's oldest golf course. The course was originally designed by architect Devereux Emmett who, shortly afterwards, built the Congressional near Washington, D.C., the site of the 1997 U.S. Open. Just as Congressional was remodeled by Robert Trent Jones, and again more recently by his son, Rees Trent Jones, so is Riddell's Bay gradually acquiring a new look.

Winding along a peninsula which, at its widest point, measures only some 600 yards, these scenic links provide golfers with a magnificent challenge to both their game and camera. The first hole is unquestionably the most difficult opener on any of the island's courses. Winds from the sea are an important factor, so that, ironically, shooting's no breeze. The 8th hole, a dog-leg right, is the one to watch for. If you're not accurate, you shoot in to a green that's surrounded by water.

This golf course offers scenic delights and plenty of challenges and is described by Bermudians as "a real gem" and "the course you must play."

GOLF-18 HOLES ON A BEAUTIFUL COURSE

Here is why I'm really impressed with this course, other than the fact that the course is beautiful and very well maintained: when the pro/manager was showing me the layout, he suddenly stopped the golf cart for a large turtle which was crossing the cart's path. He picked it up and ever so gently placed it on the other side. He loves the nature that you'll see all around you as you test your skills on one of the most luscious courses anywhere. You should think yourself as being very lucky to play here.

Designed by Nicklaus Design Group, this environmental showcase of golf in Mexico has been carefully sculpted from the Mayan Jungle. They have woven a masterpiece through the jungle and around the native mangroves to offer a challenging experience to the serious golfer and an enjoyable round for the not so serious.

The four sets of tees allow golfers of all skill levels to enjoy their round of golf as well as the peace and quiet of the natural surroundings.

Included in the price is the greens fee, a shared golf cart and a warm up

Martinique                   return to top

GOLF DE LA MARTINIQUE

Years ago the French on this island realized that the many Americans traveling to Martinique wanted a golf course, just about the only thing lacking. They contracted the best, Robert Trent Jones, and he designed a magnificent course just down the street from the birthplace of Martinique's Empress Josephine, wife of Napoleon. This course is one of Jone's signature pieces.

This course is laid out in the south of the island on the edge of the resort area. It is about 20 miles from Martinique's capital of Fort-de-France and its 18 hole course is one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. It lays across undulating hills that offer exquisite vistas of the azure blue sea. The trade winds, which blow year round, cool the course all day long.

Its most difficult hole, #12, has a dog leg to the left. The fairway is very narrow as well as the green, and very long. You play against the wind between December and April and the strong winds make this very tricky. It has created psychological problems for golfers as they approach this hole as well as 15 and 16.

There is a cafe on the premises for lunch.

Several of the other holes which are par 3 require you to cross some water to an islet and then cross more to the green. Better have lots of balls for this course.

The wishes of many of Martinique's golfers is to have their ashes spread over the 3 toughest holes, also with the best views.

GOLF AT THE FAMOUS HALF MOON COURSE

For the exceptional golfer yearning to play every great course, here is a challenge.

Consistently ranked one of the top golf courses in the world, the classic Robert Trent Jones course is sculpted out of the foothills of the western Jamaican coastline, and has an international reputation for being challenging and breathtaking. A member of Jack Nicklaus’ "Great Golf Resorts of the World" Half Moon has hosted a number of prestigious tournaments including the Jamaica Open Golf Championship, the Dunhill Cup Final of the Americas, and the Red Stripe Pro-Am.

With 7,119 yards of difficult driving areas, plenty of bunkering, and great undulating greens, this course puts up a challenge. Among its unforgettable holes is the 535-yard third hole and the relatively short, 362-yard fourth hole. With four tee markers on every hole, scratch golfers and beginners will find an enjoyable challenge as they tackle the Robert Trent Jones’ design and the ever-present Caribbean trade winds.

18 HOLES OF GOLF AT LAS HADAS

For some of my generation, this resort needs no introduction. Las Hadas became famous because of the movie filmed there in 1979 with Dudley Moore, Bo Derek, and Julie Andrews, entitled "10". It is still a gorgeous resort in a beautiful bay with a host of pleasurable amentities. Stroll along narrow streets and magical plazas with fountains, reminiscent of an exotic Moorish village. White spires and domes set off the brilliant blue of the clear Manzanillo skies while exotic flowers splash bright color into the exuberant landscape.

We offer you the chance to play this wonderful course.

The course is an 18-hole, par 71, 7,980-yard Peter Dye golf course featuring "island" greens, rated one of Mexico's top five courses; 13 holes have water features; with a dramatic 18th hole.

We have included your green fees, one round of golf on our 18 hole championship Las Hadas golf course, shared golf cart, and all taxes.

You may rent clubs when you arrive at the pro shop. Your family can book our FABULOUS BEACH DAY AT FAMOUS LAS HADAS and you can join them after you complete your play.

GOLF NASSAU'S CABLE BEACH COURSE

This is a lovely location to play and the 20-minute ride is an eye-opener. You will see more of Nassau on this ride than you have on your last 6 trips to the island. The course has been redesigned, replanted and is in excellent condition. Mr. Fred M. Settle Jr. reshaped the course's fairways, repositioned the greens, and created new hazards and water-lined holes. It is a very friendly place to play.

Come enjoy one of the finest championship courses in the Caribbean!

The newly redesigned golf course plays 6,453 yards and features spacious fairways guarded by a beautiful network of lakes. The greens are protected by a series of multiple mounds to create containment to assist the golfer who occasionally strikes a stray shot. Additionally, the course features a minimum of sand bunkers making it a challenging but "resort friendly" course for golfers of all skill levels.

Times offered are general guidelines. An exact tee time will be assigned upon confirmation. If your schedule requires a special tee time, just let us know.

Your cost includes green fees and your cart. Powerbuilt clubs are available for rent upon your arrival for $30.00.

GOLF IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN

This creative and well-maintainted Executive Golf Course will sure to be the best setting for your golf experience.

Located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, the the 18-hole, par 54 Mayan Palace Golf Course features bright blue lakes, lush greens, and traps of radiant, white sand.

The natural Mayan landscape and vegetation will create a great course of challenges throughout 12 of the holes. The more complex greens were constructed in a style of the 1950s, which creates the perfect complement to the challenging course.

The signature hole is 17; it features two strategically-placed traps, one on each side of the green. What makes this the signature hole, however, is the trap that was placed directly in the middle of the green. This further complicates the natural challenges, and makes it doubly unique among greens!

The course has a Snack Bar area, where you can enjoy a light meal or a cold beverage, if you wish. You can also shop at the Boutique which offers the most exclusive golf items for purchase.

DORADO BEACH PINEAPPLE GOLF COURSE

Graceful clapping of waves on the white sand beach, fragrant smells of tropical flowers, brilliant tangerine leaves of the Flamboyan Tree, and tranquil ocean breezes will be part of an exceptional golf experience.

Legendary golfer Chi Chi Rodriguez has been an ambassador for golf in his native Puerto Rico for nearly 40 years. But along with Chi Chi’s help there exists a plethora of natural characteristics that make Puerto Rico a pefect warm weather golf destination. In recent years the golf has been getting even better. Puerto Rico offers beautiful resorts such as Dorado Beach, with four great courses.

Dorado Beach Pineapple Course, formerly the Cerromar,is the new 18-hole championship design by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and originally opened for play in 1970. The course underwent extensive renovations in 2005 and is now in high demand. This course challenges any golfer's sand game and offers sweeping mountain views.

The Pineapple Course was designed to be the more friendly course for golfers. The course has fewer forced carries. The bunkers are not as deep and the greens are slightly larger. The back nine of The Pineapple Course consists of four holes with an ocean view, followed by a tough five-hole stretch culminating with a fantastic par four, 18th hole, that finishes up on a green that is just below the clubhouse terrace. For those who seek a challenge, this course will give you all you can handle from the back tees.

The highlight of the course is its renowned 4th hole, ranked by Jack Nicklaus as one of the top ten holes in the world. At 525 yards from the championship tee (500 for non-pros), it’s a double dogleg that affords the strong player a reachable green in two shots – if he or she can cross two ponds to get there. Amateurs may take the more cautious path of playing around the lake in a “Z” pattern and pitching to the green with their third shot.

Championship length: 7,030 yards
Men’s tee length: 6,196 yards
Women’s tee length: 5,528 yards

This course is located about 22 miles from the San Juan cruise ship docks. Transportation is not included.

You may rent clubs for $59 and shoes for $11. King Cobra rental clubs cost $59 - payable at time of rental. Free Joy shoes may be rented

GOLF THE ROYAL ST. KITTS GOLF CLUB

Beautiful ocean views are what you would expect from an island golf course and you will find that here. The setting is lovely and the course was redesigned to make it exciting and competitive, if you can keep your eyes on the ball and not on the water!

Enjoy your time on St. Kitts brushing up on your golf game and adding a new course to your list of those played. At Royal St. Kitts Golf Club you will have the opportunity of adjusting to a new surface which has been installed here for your pleasure. Seashore paspalum grass, used only in a few golf courses to date in the world, is an innovative breed of grass that will be found throughout the entire golf course. This hearty grass is the best in the world at handling salt water and still able to provide a superior playing surface. This rich coarse surface will allow you to perform quick-stopping chip, pitch, and approach shots. The seashore paspalum also allows you to stike your putts more firmly and with less break than other grasses like Bermuda and bentgrass.

This course was designed originally in 1979 by Peter Thompson, a 5-time champion elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1988, and was redesigned in 2003 by Thomas McBroom. It was full of golfers when we visited and is a full service course.

Your fee includes your 18 holes, a shared golf cart, and use of the range.
If you choose to rent clubs on site, they will cost about $50 which you will pay upon arrival.

There is a restaurant on the premises with a full golf club menu.

GOLF KAUAI

Imagine yourself walking up to the first tee with a Pacific Ocean view in front of you and Mount Haupu towering over you. This isn't a dream.... this is Kauai's newest course. Robin Nelson, Hawaii’s most prolific golf course architect, designed the course to play around deep ravines and streams fed by fresh mountain rain water. With the inspirational terrain and calming mountain range backdrop, you'll find this course to play differently under a variety of weather conditions of wind and water. Nelson’s masterful architecture clearly conveys the routes one should take to achieve textbook pars. But he hints enticingly at ways to achieve gambling birdies that can quickly turn into bogies or worse.

Sports Illustrated thought enough of this course to name it one of the best golf courses in the United States.

See our horseback riding excursion and, if it appeals, call us. We will arrange a shared transfer and save you some money.

NiitväljaGolf Course was completed in its full measure in 1994. Being the only 18-hole course in the Baltics during the 90s, Niitvälja as the place-name has become the synonym of golf in Estonia and the course itself has been highly rated by both local and foreign players. Half the course is located in the forests which makes it even more challenging.

The first nine holes and the practice area were opened to the public in 1993 and the world-standard 18-hole golf course was inaugurated one year later. In 2000 the rehabilitation works commenced in order to modernize the course - many easier greens acquired a more interesting form and many new bunkers were built. In 2004 the course enlargement project was kicked off and by autumn 2006 the first step of the project – redesign and modernization of the 18-hole Park course - was completed. The holes are situated on varied ground, some wide with plenty of room for the ball to fly, while others hidden in the wood demanding highly precise strokes. The author of the course layout is Swedish golf course architect Åke Persson and the architect of the new holes is Peter Chamberline. The length of the course is 6411m from white tees, 5854m from yellow tees and 5100m from red tees.

The practice area of Niitvälja is among the largest in Europe, consisting of three putting, two chipping and two pitching greens, five bunkers, a 15-place turf range, a 30-place driving range and a nine-hole natural mini-golf.
Niitvälja has all necessary facilities to host invitational or open golf tournaments and customer events. The club house accommodates a restaurant seating 70-80, Pro-shop, dressing rooms and saunas. Green card courses are instructed by experienced PROs.
