Part of the news about the launch of the NCL's EPIC was that they would have over 120 solo/single cabins.  Now Royal Caribbean Announced that they would be adding solo cabins to some of their existing fleet during drydock refurbishments.  You may recall that the Enchantment of the Seas which sails from Baltimore was actually cut in half and another section added with lots of balconies and more features so its certainly doable.

But what do you think about them.  Would you want a solo cabin?  Do you think it will create more demand?  What does the pricing need to be like? 

From my perspective as a travel agent, I get asked about these quite a lot the cruise lines pricing is generally per person based on double occupancy.  It would seem to me that they could based on availability, and market demand on particular cruises implement a single supplement waiver and not have to actually build solo cabins.  This happens at times but is not that common.
