Yes a world cruise as in around the world, and for less than you would probably spend for the alternative.

What does a world cruise include?  In snowbird terms, it includes your housing with a modern set of features, all your gourmet meals with large selectable daily menus, great and varying entertainment and cultural enrichment, maid service, availability of doctors and nurses traveling with you, security and comfort of a world class resort, ports of call in fascinating places, incredible spa and fitness facilities and classes, great and interesting traveling companions, a modern library and internet lounge with daily updated newspapers, and all the travel and adventure you could ask for.

What does it cost?  A lot depends on the ship, duration, and size of stateroom selected, but as an example, a premium cruise line such as Princess, such as the Pacific Princess on a 112 day sailing around the world from Ft. How long are world cruises?  Generally longer then the winter:)  Most leave in the early January time frame and return anywhere from late March with some not until June ( think 180 days).   The Pacific Princess above departs Jan 5th and returns 27 April.

What will we see? Will we be bored?   Pretty much the world, and No. Matter of fact some of the ports of call are visited rarely except by world cruises, or trans-ocean cruises due to their geographic positioning ( think Easter Island, Seychelles...) plus some of the great ports of call in the world like Cape Town, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Sydney, Singapore....  There is always something going on onboard the ship from the guest speakers, authors, chefs, entertainers, and more.  Then there is the onboard casino, spa, fitness center, pools, and lounges.  No end of things.

So what do you save by being on a cruise ship?  Think about all the things you need to do to spend the winter in a condo or apartment, rent, utilities, time spent shopping for food, medical, and recreation, crowded restaurants and wait times, same menus.  Did I mention traffic?

How many world cruises are there?  Perhaps more then you think.  Here are some of the cruise lines that offer them. Oceania, Regent Seven Seas, Cunard, Viking Ocean, Princess, and Holland America.

When should I book?  As soon as you can, you are price protected and can take advantage of early booking offers and savings.  Your deposit is generally refundable up to a point.

Can I vary the itinerary?  Yes by working with us.  We have helped clients get off the ship and reboard in another location so they could go to someplace they had on their bucket list.  Its doable with an experienced consultant actiing on your behalf.  Been there, done that.
