Yes, we all saw the video of Bao Bao the giant panda getting ready to leave Washington's National Zoo, then the preparations for the charter flight in her specially built cage with some great bamboo to munch on. Its supposed to be about 16 hours, and then their is the task of learning Chinese.
If you would like to see Bao Bao with her new friends and companion, we can get you to the right place. Chengdu is China's primary panda research and refuge center. The giant panda's are just as popular amongst the Chinese as they are with those of us in North America. Its easy to get to Chengdu on any of the tours our providers offer.
The research center is open from 7:30 AM to 6 PM daily, year round. Most hotels have roundtrip shuttle service should you not want to go on one of our professional tours.

"Spend a morning with some of China’s most majestic mammals during a 3-hour tour of either the Dujiangyan Giant Panda Center or the Chengdu Panda Breeding Center from Chengdu. Accompanied by a professional panda keeper, stroll through the baby and adult panda areas and gain fascinating insight into the behavior, mating habits and physiology of the creatures. Upgrade available to have your photo taken while holding a baby panda if conditions are favorable. Round-trip transportation from your Chengdu included."
