Family Cruise Tradition

Its getting to be that time of year again.  In our new lifestyles of families being separated by greater distances due to jobs, lifestyles, careers, military service, its always nice to come together at certain holidays as a family.  More and more we are seeing multigenerational cruising, river cruising, and use of all inclusivces as a way to have a great reunion and reduce the hassle and stress on many of the family, especially those who are the hosts, major preparers, as well as those who have to travel great distance with multiple changes.  Well its not too late to take advantage of the opportunities afforded by either a short cruise of 3-5 days pre/post holidays, or to take an extended cruise for the vacation period of 7-10 or more days.

The advantages can be significant.  One, there is something for everyone to do on a cruise ship from the youngest to the oldest.

The preparation time is significantly reduced, and the cruise lines go out of their way to make sure every holiday period has a themed dinner to match the season.

Since in the larger families there is inevitably lack of rooms for everyone to stay or some prefer to stay in a hotel, the cruise line solves that problem with ease.

Its been documented several times.  There is no better value than a cruise holiday when it comes to the price, especially when you consider your hotel, meals, and entertainment are included, and then you can add in the sightseeing and especially this time of year the nice warm weather. 

But if cold is what you want go to the skating rink on the ship, or the new ice bars and even an ice restaurant where its less then 20 degrees inside!

Even better for those who want to feel the Christmas air and snow, take a Christmas river cruise to Budapest Hungary, or along the Mainz to Rothenberg, or a small ship sailing to Antarctica.   Add in all the culture, education, and fun into the family gathering and have it all!
