Cuba travel warning and tourism

As the news media has reported, both some Ameriocan and Canadian diplomatic corps employees have reported illnesses and they seem to be attributed to devices targeted to the embassies and some hotels used by those staff members. Exactly what and how hasn't been reported and is supposedly undetermined.
The cruise lines seem to have a better solution, since their "hotels" are the cruise ships and thus not susceptible to potential landbased devices.
The tour companies are saying that the hotels and locations they use are in most or all cases not at all the hotels or residences which the staff supposedly have used.
Both are indicating that in any event, tourism which is so important to Cuba, is not the target of any of the safey warning issues, and that the primary concern around the warning more a diplomatic, government - government issue.
I would give an edge to the cruise lines for those that are still concerned about the warning. Obviously keeping posted on the status and any changes will be something I will be watching and reporting on.
