Available Pre-Cruises Anchorage to Vancouver June 29th and July 23rd
Day 1
Arrive in Anchorage and receive a warm welcome by your tour director who will guide you to your vehicle for the transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening at your leisure. Overnight in Anchorage at the Sheraton Anchorage.
Day 2
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel in the morning before exploring the city of Anchorage on your own or enjoy some shopping. Afterward, board your deluxe motorcoach for the drive from Anchorage to Talkeetna. Later, enjoy the afternoon in the unique town of Talkeetna that is reminiscent of the 1990’s television show Northern Exposure. Weather permitting, you can see the great mountain Mt. McKinley or better known to locals as Mount Denali. With your free time you can enjoy a river jet-boat or a walk through the town. The view from the deck of your lodge has great potential views of the mountain or you can purchase a flightseeing tour to the mountain or even land on a glacier on the mountainside. Overnight in Talkeetna at the Talkeetna Lodge.
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure at the Lodge. Travel from Talkeetna in your deluxe motorcoach to Big Lake. Stop at the Iditarod Musher Martin Buser’s home for an exclusive look at his dog team training methods and how to win the Last Great Race. A snack lunch is included at the dog kennel. Continue this afternoon in a deluxe motorcoach from Big Lake to your cruise ship in Anchorage.
