Pre-Cruise Anchorage - Highlights of Denali 4-Day
Available Pre-Cruise dates Anchorage to Vancouver June 29th and July 23rd
Day 1
Upon arrival at the Anchorage airport, you will be met and transferred to the Sheraton Hotel. The remaining evening is at your leisure. Overnight at the Sheraton Hotel, Anchorage (or similar).
Day 2
Following breakfast at the hotel, board the world famous Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Denali and enjoy lunch onboard along the way. As you travel along the way, take in some of the most scenic and rugged territory in Alaska. Upon arrival at the hotel this evening, there will be a Reception hosted by a guest lecturer who will tell you about all the unique characteristics of Denali, one of the last great frontiers for wilderness adventure. Dinner will be included at the hotel.
Overnight Denali at Grande Denali Lodge. (Breakfast, lunch, reception and dinner included)
Day 3
Rise early for breakfast this morning and get ready for the exciting seven hour Tundra Wilderness Tour by bus, deep into the heart of Denali Park in search of wildlife. A snack box lunch will be provided during the tour. You will be free in the afternoon in Denali for optional activities such as whitewater rafting, helicopter flightseeing, hiking or signing up for one of the Park Service programs. Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at your leisure.
Overnight in Denali at the Grande Denali Lodge. (Breakfast and snack lunch included)
Day 4
Today, enjoy breakfast at your leisure at the hotel. Begin your day’s tour with a drive from Denali via motorcoach to Anchorage. Stop at the Iditarod Sled Dog Kennel and learn about this truly Alaskan competition. From Anchorage to Nome on the Bering Sea coast, each team of 12 to 16 dogs and their musher cover 1,150 miles in 10 to 17 days over the roughest, terrain Alaska has to offer. Over jagged mountain ranges, frozen river, dense forest, desolate tundra and miles of windswept coast, the mushers and their dog teams race. Add temperatures far below zero, winds that cause complete loss of visibility, the hazards of overflow, long hours of darkness, and you have the Iditarod, the last Great Race on Earth. Enjoy a snack lunch along the way. Continue to Anchorage for Ship Embarkation. (Breakfast and snack lunch included)

After disembarking your cruise ship, you will meet your tour director and begin your drive to Denali with and stop at the Iditarod Sled Dog Kennel and learn about this truly Alaskan competition. From Anchorage to Nome on the Bering Sea coast, each team of 12 to 16 dogs and their musher cover 1,150 miles in 10 to 17 days over the roughest, terrain Alaska has to offer. Day 2

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a morning at leisure. In the afternoon, transfer via the world famous Alaska Railroad from Denali to Anchorage. Upon arrival in Anchorage, check-in at the Sheraton Hotel (or similar). The spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 4
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Anchorage airport for your flight home. (Breakfast included)
